Cata & Sophia - "Travelling. Anywhere and anytime"
1. What is your name, where do you come from and what do you for living?
We are Cata and Sophia, born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. And we have just recently started travelling around Asia and hopefully we'll keep going after that!
2. What advice would you give to someone that just arrived in Lisbon?
You should try coming to Lisbon in the summer, it's by far the best time to enjoy the beach. Also, if you go to the Pasteis de Belem, remember you don't need to queue, just go inside and sit at a table (trust us, you will know what we mean once you're there).
Don't take buses, Lisbon is small. And it's cheap. The best way to move around is by walking, otherwise use taxis or the metro. At the airport don't be fooled by the taxi drivers, it should never be more than 15€.
3. What do you usually do for fun?
Travelling. Anywhere and anytime, even if it's a weekend away close to Lisbon or a month across the ocean.
4. What would you say is your favourite food?
Fish and seafood, if it's in Portugal. You won't find better anywhere else.
5. What would be the perfect Sunday afternoon plan?
When it's cold, the perfect plan includes a movie and a fireplace. In the Summer, it's a whole different story! Daylight lasts until 9 pm so the perfect plan would be going to the beach followed by a few drinks with friends.
6. What's your favourite place in Lisbon?
This one was easy for both of us to agree on: definitely Adamastor at sunset. It's one of the best viewpoints in Lisbon, it's crowded with young people and there's always good music.
7. What is your plan for after the trip?
(This question would be one asked by the previous host but because we're the first ones to answer the 8 questions we'll just go with the one people most asked us right before we left)
Our answer is simple, we have no idea yet. But that's what makes it even more exciting.
8. What would you like to ask your first host?
What should we do in our next stop? (Read answer here)
